Our mission

Thanks for visiting AeroToolbox.com. We are a small team passionate about aviation and the wider aerospace industry, and are dedicated to providing high quality tutorials, calculators, and teaching aids to the next generation of pilots and aerospace professionals.

Our background

AeroToolbox.com was founded by Andrew Wood in 2016 and has grown into a trusted online aerospace resource used by engineers, students and pilots around the world.

Andrew grew up riding his bike to the local airport on weekends and trying to sneak onto the flight line. This obsession with aircraft lead him to study aeronautical engineering and complete an MSc. in subsonic aerodynamics. In 2019 he took the first steps to fulfilling a lifelong ambition and started his pilot's license which he is currently completing.

He believes that pilot safety and education go hand-in-hand, and hopes this website will contribute to equipping pilots with a thorough knowledge of the more technical aspects of aircraft design and performance analysis.
